Get Addicted To Volunteering

European Solidarity Corps project

People often underestimate the power of sports and volunteering in changing lives. Many young people fall into harmful habits because they lack access to healthy alternatives and inspiring role models. Our group knows how important it is to have someone show you a different path — one filled with opportunities, growth, and community spirit. Through Get Addicted to Volunteering, we created spaces, events, and activities that prove there is a world where health, knowledge, and teamwork can replace addictions. A world where everyone who chooses an active lifestyle and self-development can belong.

This initiative sets a strong example of young people uniting to promote a healthy, active, and addiction-free lifestyle. By demonstrating what can be achieved through sports, education, and volunteering, it inspires others to engage with their communities and work toward positive change. Young people have the greatest impact on their peers, making this approach a powerful way to reach the target group and spark long-term transformation.
Raising awareness of essential values and programs such as those of the European Union and the European Solidarity Corps and achieving broader awareness of one of the most vulnerable groups in Sliven were some of the most important goals achieved. Apart from showing solidarity towards Roma youth, the project aimed to spread the ideas of volunteering and solidarity. With this project, we set out to show the importance of raising awareness about the benefits of education, volunteering, and personal development.
Strength, Health, and Sport – Street Workout & Armwrestling Event
A dynamic sports event in Sliven brought together 40 participants for a day of strength, discipline, and teamwork. Featuring both street workout challenges and armwrestling competitions, the program promoted healthy lifestyles and offered an inspiring alternative to harmful habits. Special guests, professional clubs, and dedicated volunteers contributed to an atmosphere of motivation and community spirit, proving that sports can unite and empower young people.
